We Won't Tolerate Spam or Offensive Emails

The Sentori application allows you to send email messages to multiple recipients.  This is a legitimate activity, and an important part of an organisations communications toolkit.  Bulk messages may be sent for a number of reasons including the promotion of an organisation’s products or services, the provision of news about the organisation, or general information that might be of interest to the contact.  Communications can be either business-to-business or business-to-consumer.  Messages may also be also be sent internally to an organisation’s staff, members or stakeholders.

However, Sentori may only be used to send message to people who have given their prior permission to receive email communications.  Normally such permission is obtained by a contact 'opting in' to a mailing list.  There are a limited number of situations where consent might be legitimately implied by the relationship between the organisation sending the message and the contact.  If you are in any way in doubt about your right to send a message to a set of contacts you should seek appropriate advice.

At Sentori we will not tolerate the use of our application to send unsolicited commercial email messages (commonly called SPAM).   You will need to show to our satisfaction that you have the right to send messages to contacts loaded into the Sentori application.  Sentori users must also abide by the laws in force from time-to-time in both the territory from which the message is being sent, and also those into which the message is being sent.

We can help you to put procedures and processes in place to build up your contacts list by, for example, putting a ‘sign-up’ form on your website.  In cases where this may result in malicious sign-ups (ie a sign up being made by a third party for non-legitimate reasons) then the use of a so-called double opt-in procedure should be considered.

All this means that to use Sentori you comply with rules on Contact Lists and Message Content.
